AppZen is seeking motivated and goal-oriented self-starters to join us at our leading FinTech Artificial Intelligence organization! Sales Development Representative (SDR) interns can expect to join our dynamic sales team and play a key role in driving the growth and revenue of our cutting-edge AI-driven expense management software. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales, learn about the SaaS industry, and contribute to the success of a fast-growing technology company.


  • Conduct market research to identify potential target customers and industries in the expense management and accounts payable space alongside a mentor
  • Track and maintain accurate records of all lead interactions and sales activities in a variety of tools: Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc
  • Qualify leads through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels
  • Engage with prospects to understand their accounts payable, expense management challenges and pain points
  • Continuously learn about AppZen's products, industry trends, and sales techniques
  • Assist with other sales-related tasks and projects as needed


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a sales role
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to commute into the Phoenix, Arizona office two days per week
  • Availability to work 16 hours per week during the academic semester September-December


  • Currently pursuing a college degree at an accredited university
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is preferred but not required
