We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Director to lead the development of existing and new applications. In this role, you will lead a team of 6 to 10 talented Senior Software Engineers to develop technology solutions that are scalable, relevant, and critical to our company’s success. The role will be 30% hands-on development and 70% management. We believe in building the right product, we believe in using best practices, we believe in everybody's input. You will help drive us to a continuously delivered microaervice environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience working at a Cloud/SaaS company.

Role:
- Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability for individuals and team
Collaborate with other engineering teams, Senior Engineering Management, Architects and Technical - Operations team to help define and refine core team’s roadmap
- Drive execution and delivery of roadmap items with high quality by working with cross-functional teams
- Provide regular feedback, technical guidance, and mentoring to team members
- Foster collaborative, engaging and inclusive team environments
- Define and abide by coding standards and guidelines for all engineers to follow
- Maintain and improve our culture by sourcing and hiring only the most qualified individuals with an eye towards diversity & inclusion
- Maintain a high standard of work quality and encourage others to do the same
- Energetic individual with enthusiasm to learn new tools, technologies & processes
Must Have:
- 10 - 16 years of experience in developing enterprise cloud software development
- 5+ years of hands-on technical management experience
- Experience working with product & program managers to align on objectives, priorities, trade-offs and risks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for technical discussions
- Lead, recruit, mentor and retain engineers
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required; Master’s degree is a plus
- Hands-on microservices experience
- SQL and NoSQL experience
- Must understand trade offs of relational and non-relational models
- AWS experience
- Able to work onsite in Pune, IN
