Role Overview:

  • We are looking for a Product Manager (Expense Audit) with strong B2B SaaS product management experience to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AppZen’s Expense Audit product. You will work closely with Engineering and Data Science teams along with Customer Success, Sales, and Operations, and you will engage directly with large enterprise customers.
  • This role owns how AppZen detects policy violations, fraud/waste, and non-compliant spend across employee expense reports and card transactions while balancing accuracy, explainability, and operational throughout.

Key responsibilities :

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Craft a coherent product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Expense Audit.
  • Identify market opportunities across expense audit, card audit, compliance, and risk analytics.
  • Define success metrics: audit coverage, savings captured, false positive rate, reviewer productivity, automation rate, cycle time, and customer adoption.
  • Customer & Domain Understanding
  • Develop a deep understanding of enterprise travel & expense (T&E) and corporate card workflows.
  • Engage with customers to understand audit programs, policy structures, and risk tolerance (strict vs. pragmatic audit).
  • Translate customer needs into clear PRDs, user journeys, prototypes, and release plans.
  • AI + Rules + Workflow (Core of EA)Own the product experience across:
  • Detection, Policy enforcement, Explainability, Operations workflow
  • Partner with Data Science on model quality, monitoring, drift detection, and feedback-based learning, ensuring improvements are measurable and safe.
  • Execution & Cross-functional Leadership
  • Be a ruthless prioritizer: scope and prioritize based on business and customer impact.
  • Drive delivery end-to-end with Engineering/QE/UX: requirements, grooming, releases, launch readiness, and enablement.
  • Collaborate with Sales/CS/Solutions Consulting on demos, competitive positioning, and rollout plans—especially for enterprise deployments.
  • Product Evangelism
  • Act as a product evangelist internally and externally—help the company tell a crisp EA story and win trust with outcomes (savings + compliance).

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • B2B SaaS Product Management experience (enterprise SaaS strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record owning roadmap + execution across discovery → PRD → build → launch → adoption.
  • Strong ability to work in a matrix with Engineering, UX, Data Science, Sales, and CS.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and high ownership—bias to action and outcomes.
  • Exposure to Expense Management / T&E / Corporate Card workflows and ecosystems.
  • Experience building products that combine rules + workflows + analytics (risk/compliance/audit is ideal).
  • Experience building or shipping AI-assisted / ML-driven & Agentic product capabilities (you don’t need to be a data scientist, but you must be able to drive model-quality

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms/systems: ERP, HRIS, finance stacks, and common expense tools.
  • Experience with global policies (multi-currency, per-diem, VAT/GST, country-specific constraints).
  • Strong technical grounding (APIs, data pipelines, event-based workflows) to partner effectively with Engineering.
