ABOUT THE ROLE

The Product Manager for Endpoint is responsible to understand market needs and trends, collaborate with the product teams, manage the delivery and success of new products and capabilities in a data-driven manner, and drive priorities that maximize value to the internal and external customers. Product Managers participate in strategic and tactical activities for small to medium sized, possibly complex, projects that contribute to larger solutions, serve as the champion for their assigned product/service areas and may serve as product owner for one or more development teams. Individuals in this role will partner with others on the team to achieve their goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct internal and external research: customer requirements, market requirement, competitive research, internal research and analysis to inform strategic direction and priorities for their product/service areas.

  • Regularly collaborate across the business to collect and socialize a comprehensive, accurate and detailed set of feature requirements and prioritized backlog.

  • Owns the definition, prioritization and hygiene of the product backlog throughout the concept through delivery process.

  • Working in partnership with the UX team, ensures delivery of all user experience mock ups required in support of backlog items.

  • Act as a product/service delivery champion: represent the business and value of the capabilities throughout the product delivery process, problem solve obstacles to delivery, build a sense of team and set the urgency/energy levels where appropriate, model and foster company values with across delivery teams and ensure overall team and project success.

  • Resolve minor conflicts and identify and report more serious issues to line manager within the requirements to product/service delivery cycle.

  • Contribute research and ideas with broader product management team and direct leadership as required to support broader product/service strategy.

  • Periodically required to brief senior product executives on the state of their respective products/service releases and plans.

  • Contribute to pricing and positioning planning discussions within the product management and product marketing teams to maximize value of their deliverables.

  • Works with others, where appropriate, to create and improve operational aspects of service delivery within our technology platform.

  • Assists in the definition, creation, and delivery of technical product marketing and service deliverables.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years’ experience in a technical or product delivery role in the Endpoint space

  • Experience in cybersecurity is a plus

  • Previous experience or knowledge of product management

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science or Business Administration preferred)

  • Dedicated to managing and meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; seeks first-hand customer information and uses it to inform feature definition and development; brings a cohesive perspective of the customers to their work; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

  • Knowledge and use of technical, market, and customer research methodologies.

  • Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely to various audiences.

  • Technical aptitude capable to comprehend target customer IT infrastructure, company products and services at a system, data flow and API level, the ins and outs of development, design, agile framework, software development, and scrum approach.

  • Competence in decision making and decision follow-through - including defining a problem, identifying different alternatives, selecting, and implementing the best alternative, and evaluating results to success criteria. May consult with senior staff to validate approach and decisions.

  • Is learning the activities of full-life cycle product management and is working towards mastering product definition and development process.

  • Contributes to some departmental goals and objectives.

  • Highly detail oriented and able to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously.
