Senior Developer - Developer Experience
Arctic Wolf
Ready to further your career in the fast-paced, exciting world of cyber security?
Arctic Wolf, with its unicorn valuation, is the leader in security operations in an exciting and fast-growing industry—cybersecurity. We have won countless awards for our excellence in security operations and remain dedicated to providing an industry-leading customer and employee experience.
Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Developer to be part of making this happen.
Arctic Wolf's Developer Experience team is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join us in enabling our fellow developers to build high quality and high value software with confidence. We build systems, tools, and practices that enable Arctic Wolf’s developers to build and deploy high quality software in minutes instead of hours or days. Our contributions directly impact the experience of developers across the entire organization and we strive to make their lives a little bit better every day.
DEVELOPER EXPERIENCE TEAM TENETS:
Correct is more important than fast, but only slightly
The right thing should always be easier to do than the wrong thing
Common industry tools should be preferred over custom development whenever possible
A tool does exactly what it should, nothing less, and certainly nothing more
AS A SENIOR DEVELOPER AT ARCTIC WOLF, YOU WILL:
Enhance the Developer experience by providing best in class development tools that delight the developers that use them
Provide a well defined path for software development with quick start options for new projects
Evangelize modern development tools and practices
ABOUT YOU:
You are demonstrably capable of working with Bazel, Buck, or another similar build tool
You are demonstrably capable in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
You are demonstrably capable with native build, test, and packaging tools for one or more software development ecosystems
You want to build tools and processes that support the efforts of other software developers
You care deeply about your customers and strive to support their needs, tying your success to their success
You strive for excellence, but also know when and where to compromise
You will work from a plan, but will seek opportunities for experimentation and highlight possible improvements
You enjoy collaborating with your peers, but can also work well independently
Don’t meet all the requirements? That’s okay! We still want you to apply. We have many opportunities, and we are always looking for top talent.
