Location: HQ - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA (Hybrid role, 3-days a week in office)

About the Role

As a BI Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the analytical and reporting strategy of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around designing and implementing the solutions for various Business Operations stakeholders; identifying the business need and transforming these requirements into value-add deliverables. You will build and maintain data governance frameworks, optimization of BI/Analytics tools, while leading a team dedicated to supporting analysts in their analytical journey. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure that our data-driven decision-making processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Analytical and Reporting Strategy

  • Develop and refine the organization's analytical and reporting strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage data to drive business insights and inform decision-making processes.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in BI and analytics to continuously improve the organization's approach.

Data Governance / Management

  • Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Define and enforce data quality standards, data access controls, and data usage policies.

  • Collaborate with data stewards and IT teams to resolve data-related issues and optimize data management processes.

  • Provide guidance on tool usage, configuration, and customization to maximize value and user satisfaction.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor a team of BI analysts and developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Provide technical guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their analytical capabilities and professional growth.

  • Coordinate team activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of projects and initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their analytical requirements and translate them into actionable insights and reports.

  • Communicate effectively with executives, managers, and analysts to promote data-driven decision-making and facilitate the adoption of BI solutions.

  • Build strong relationships across departments to promote cross-functional collaboration and alignment of analytics initiatives with business goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years in business intelligence with proven experience developing and implementing BI/Analytics strategies and solutions

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and data management practices.

  • Expertise in BI and analytics visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar platforms.

  • Project and time management skills, utilizing software tools like Jira or similar

  • Established foundation in data management tools such as Snowflake, AWS / S3, Python, Lambda, and integration software.

  • Thorough knowledge in SQL, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
