About Us
Logistics is broken. Let’s fix it.
We are a team of engineers, product designers, and customer champions applying the most transformative technology of our times, AI, to one of the largest industries in the world: logistics. Our mission is to streamline freight brokerage, carrier management, and 3PL operations through automation, freeing teams to focus on high-value strategic work.
We are looking for customer success leaders with deep expertise in freight, logistics, and technology implementation to help scale our impact. If you're excited about managing a high-performing team and optimizing customer workflows with AI-driven solutions, we want to hear from you.
Overview
Augment is building AI teammates — not tools — that work alongside operations, logistics, and customer support teams to automate complex workflows. We’re growing quickly and are looking for a seasoned UX Designer to help scale our Design function as we build the future of autonomous operations.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with Product Managers, Engineer, Designers and Customers to synthesize themes across AI product needs, enterprise requirements, and company policies, identifying positive and negative user impact for customers, end users, and content owners
Set a high bar for UX practice as a vehicle for strategic alignment in a complex AI problem space, using design to illuminate tradeoffs in accuracy, latency, cost, safety, and trust.
Own information architecture, navigation, interaction design, and task flows for web and desktop/mobile surfaces that power transcription, note generation, agent conversations, and retrieval‑augmented question answering
Own the design vision for your area: drive 0→1 feature launches and 1→N improvements to existing workflows, ensuring coherence across recording, summarization, Q&A, and task automation
Shape product strategy, roadmap, and requirements in close partnership with product, engineering, data science, and go‑to‑market; connect UX research and outcomes to adoption, retention, and support metrics
Execute end‑to‑end design from problem framing through user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI; specify empty states, edge cases, and error handling for AI variability
Communicate design rationale, build consensus, and influence decisions among cross‑functional partners and leadership; facilitate crits and design reviews.
-
Navigate ambiguity in a fast‑moving AI landscape, proactively reducing uncertainty with framed hypotheses and lean tests
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio of complex, system‑oriented work that shipped to production
Experience designing for B2B, fluency in enterprise buyer and end‑user needs, including admin controls, privacy, and auditability
Ability to design at scale and contribute to/ manage a cohesive design system
End to end design experience: discovery research and UXR partnership, JTBD, journey mapping, service blueprints, prototyping, and usability testing with measurable outcomes
Proven history working on interaction and visual design
Exceptional communication and presentation skills across audiences and levels; strong narrative storytelling grounded in user and business impact
Demonstrated leadership driving initiatives end‑to‑end, influencing stakeholders, and operating autonomously with minimal direction
-
Ability to manage complexity and volume of information, reconcile competing constraints, and produce clear, iterative solutions
Bonus Points For:
Experience designing AI/LLM experiences such as meeting transcription and note generation, RAG‑based Q&A, summarization, and agentic task automation
Familiarity with evaluation UX for AI systems: displaying grounding/citations, confidence/quality signals, and feedback loops for continuous improvement
Understanding of enterprise needs around data residency, permissions, and governance, and how these shape UX requirements
Comfort collaborating with engineering on feasibility, instrumentation, and experimentation; familiarity with workflows that involve Python/TypeScript backends or prompt/version management
Background in design systems for complex applications, including contribution models and accessibility at scale

About Augment
At Augment, we set out to create a fully autonomous AI platform that streamlines operations and reclaims the human element in logistics. Our founders recognized a pattern: talented professionals were stuck handling manual data entry, phone calls, and repetitive tasks, instead of focusing on high-impact problem-solving and strategic decision-making.
That insight became our mission—to free logistics professionals from busywork so they can focus on what truly drives business growth. Augment isn’t just about efficiency; it’s about transforming an entire industry by empowering teams with AI-driven solutions that make logistics smarter, faster, and more adaptive.
