About Us

Logistics is broken. Let’s fix it.

We are a team of engineers, product designers, and customer champions applying the most transformative technology of our times, AI, to one of the largest industries in the world: logistics. Our mission is to streamline freight brokerage, carrier management, and 3PL operations through automation, freeing teams to focus on high-value strategic work.

Overview

As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll work across the stack to build and ship product experiences end-to-end — from customer-facing UI to backend systems and APIs that power Augment’s AI-enabled workflows.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering to deliver reliable, scalable features that solve real operational challenges. This role is ideal for someone who loves ownership, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to build systems that have real-world impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Build AI-powered product experiences by designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining full stack software

  • Build high-quality, performant user interfaces using React and TypeScript

  • Design, build, and evolve backend services and REST APIs using Node.js + TypeScript

  • Own features end-to-end — from product requirements and design discussions to architecture, implementation, testing, and monitoring

  • Work with large datasets and workflow-heavy systems to support core logistics operations

  • Improve reliability and observability across the stack, including logging, monitoring, alerting, and documentation

  • Collaborate closely with Product and Design to create intuitive user workflows and great UX

  • Partner with AI and backend engineers to integrate AI interactions into the product in a pragmatic, production-ready way

  • Contribute actively to code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and engineering rituals that help us scale

What We’re Looking For

  • BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering or a related role

  • Strong full stack experience, with deep comfort in TypeScript + Node.js

  • Production experience building modern web apps using React + TypeScript

  • Experience building and evolving REST APIs and backend services

  • Strong engineering fundamentals: debugging, architecture, and systems thinking

  • You verify your work through thorough unit tests and end-to-end testing

  • Experience shipping production software with full instrumentation: deployment, logging, monitoring, and documentation

  • Comfortable breaking down ambiguous product requirements into clear technical tasks

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Excited to work hybrid and help build a high-energy, collaborative engineering hub

Bonus Points For

  • Experience at high-growth startups or early-stage teams

  • Familiarity with Redux (or similar state-management libraries)

  • Experience building workflow-heavy products (complex forms, real-time UI updates, admin dashboards, ops tools)

  • Experience integrating AI-powered features into product experiences

  • Experience with distributed systems or event-driven architectures

  • Strong product intuition and UX sensibility

Our Stack

We build independent service-oriented architectures composed of:

  • Backend: Node, TypeScript, MySQL RDS, SQS, SNS

  • Frontend: React, Redux

  • Infrastructure: AWS
