About the Role:

The Manager, Commercial Strategy & Market Insights will be responsible for supporting Cityblock’s go-to-market strategy, inclusive of identifying market trends, assessing the competitive landscape, and synthesizing those findings to inform our Commercial Strategy and Growth efforts.

This role will be a critical enabler to the expansion of our current solution offerings as well as to the development of new ones based on your assessment of the marketplace. The role will:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis into the landscape across payers, providers, and organizations in the healthcare ecosystem, inclusive of customers, competitors, and/or potential partners

  • Inform critical strategic considerations for the company, including new products, new partnerships, new markets and refinement of go-to-market strategies.

  • Support the Commercial Strategy team across its verticals by helping to create deliverables, summarize key decisions, and manage and lead specific programs to ensure alignment with the broader Growth, cross-functional leadership, and executive leadership teams.

  • Prioritize milestones and deliverables, tracking their status, and developing a feedback loop with key internal stakeholders including Growth, Clinical, Operations, and Product to inform future efforts.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious about the healthcare space and thrives in a dynamic environment. They bring a variety of business skills to bear including project management, development of business processes, clear communications skills, financial modeling and analytics, executive communication, story-lining, cross-organizational project management, and industry specific research. The ideal candidate has experience in the healthcare space specifically with payers and providers and a basic knowledge of health policy. Relevant backgrounds include experience with health plans, value-based care organizations, digital health, consulting, investment banking, or other healthcare related managerial roles.


Requirements for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry or health related field, particularly with Medicaid or Duals (i.e. health plan, value-based care organization, digital health, consulting, investment banking, or other)

  • Project/process management skills and success in a dynamic environment: rigorous, energetic, agile, and flexible

  • Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships with external stakeholders

  • Experience in rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis, likely demonstrated through management consulting, operational expertise or finance

  • Strong working understanding of the healthcare landscape, especially payers, providers and policy

  • Willing to travel as needed (from 0% to 25% on week-by-week variable basis) to perform essential duties

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:

$100,000 - $135,000
