Join Coder as a Developer Relations (DevRel) expert to connect our platform and the developer community! You will foster relationships with developers through engaging content, including blogs, white papers, demos, and trainings through a variety of channels such as podcasts, presentations, and events.

This will be the first Developer Relations position at Coder and you will come in and build the DevRel function. The ideal candidate has a strong network of engineers and engineering leaders and is constantly growing that network using tried and true methods and new ideas to gain followers and grow our community.

Coder is dedicated to keeping developers in flow by removing obstacles that prevent us from writing code at the speed of thought. Our open-source software is deployed by some of the world’s largest organizations, enabling secure, cost-efficient, and autonomous development on any computing platform.

The team we are hiring for drives the extensibility of our core product through plugin development, API integration, and community engagement. Our projects have 60k+ stars on GitHub and are used by developers all over the globe. We enjoy tinkering with new technologies and engaging directly with our users to make meaningful software.

A little about you:

  • 5+ years of experience in developer relations or a mix of experience in product, engineering, or marketing

  • Successful experience building a strong, active developer community using multiple platforms

  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, content writing and presentation, trainings, debate stages, blogs, white papers, podcasting, etc.

  • Recent work samples to review

  • 3+ years of hands-on coding experience in open-source, with a strong preference toward TypeScript, React, and Golang

  • Experience at a startup

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize and explain complex technical concepts with emotional intelligence

We will be even more excited if you have:

  • A mix of experiences at larger organizations and startups is ideal

  • A community following of 2K followers or more

Interview Process

We believe that the interview process should be consistent and enjoyable. We hope to get through the interview process in two to three weeks if schedules allow. During this time, you will be able to meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and leadership. If this position requires a take-home assessment, we will compensate you for your work and time after completion.
