About the Opportunity
This dynamic role is responsible for the vision, strategy, selection and implementation of our benefits -both technical stack and programs. Cribl is a remote-first company, our employees experience our People programs through technology making the solutions we design critical to a positive employee experience. We’re looking for someone who is passionate and tech-forward, with an operational mindset, precision in process and data, excellent vendor management skills, and sophisticated creative problem solving skills.
Cribl is in a hyper growth stage, this role is instrumental in maturing our Benefits systems architecture, enhancing automations and integrations and delivery, and creating human process to provide a frictionless experience for our employees. This role requires in-depth subject matter expertise around Benefits and experience in successfully leading through large-scale evolutions such as implementation of new systems and consolidating or deprecating systems or processes.
While technical and operational knowledge is critical, this role also requires the ability to interact and influence across a wide variety of audiences: internal and external partners, often requiring to speak to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Given the transformational nature of the work ahead, this role requires deep project management expertise with the ability to manage multiple projects across the Benefits portfolio. This role will build business cases and articulate budget and financial impact to these choices, helping guide our executive leadership on decision making in this Benefits and Total Rewards space. While this is not a people manager role, we do expect this person to mentor and act as a senior member of our team, supporting and coaching teammates on best practices in project and program management.
This role will interact with PEOs, insurance brokers, contingent workforce, across the People Team (People Business Partners, Comp, Talent Acquisition and Talent Success) and interact with our Finance (Payroll, FP&A and Procurement) primarily. This role will fall under the People Operations function, reporting into the Director of People Operations.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Through a series of transformational, benefits-related projects, scale our Benefits programs from a 250-person to 1500+ benefits experience.
- Lead the transition of a new benefits administrator (today, moving from Maxwell →ADP Ben Admin, and potentially to Workday in the future).
- Deep analysis of existing processes and integrations; through this develop a roadmap of repairs and enhancements and execute against the roadmap.
- Run an RFP to explore a new US Benefits Broker
- Run an RFP to explore solutions for international leave of absence management
- Design and execute against benefits survey and gather benefits benchmarking data to make recommendations for further enhancements and roadmaps.
- Lead troubleshooting activities when issues arise (e.g. integration errors, incorrect deductions); design and implement durable solutions to ensure issues won’t occur again.
- Provide input and thought leadership for our globalized People strategy; Evaluate, recommend, build a roadmap for Benefits-related technology or data needs, services or new programs.
- Interpret statutory and Cribl policies related to time away programs (leave of absence, annual leaves, medical leaves) and design process and systems configurations to support administration.
- Interpret compliance-related requirements and translate them into processes or systems design to maintain compliance
- Participate as a key member in a transition to a new HRIS in the next 12-24 months; provide requirements and design process and partner with carriers to ensure new integrations to the new HRIS are built and implemented.
What You’ll Bring
- Subject matter expertise in Benefits policy, technology, administration, compliance and process; experience preferred at a multinational, high growth start up.
- Business process excellence, highly detailed and passion for creating seamless employee experience.
- Confidence with data and analytics; this role will engage with data in Google Sheets, Excel, and Looker.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills; strong presentation, organization, time management, problem solving and follow-up skills.
- The ability to build consensus and drive alignment and clarity across many internal and external stakeholders, teams, and vendors.
- Strong Project and portfolio management experience; ability to track and report against multiple projects simultaneously and communicate frequent updates, roadblocks, and risks.
- Comfort in a remote environment, self motivated to work asynchronously and independently.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency, collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
Salary Range ($112,000 - $161,000)
The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
