About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our payroll team.
In this role, you will be involved in the end-to-end payroll process and day-to-day payroll operations, working closely with employees, HR, Finance, and external providers.
This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a service-oriented approach, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.
- Collect, review, validate, and update payroll data in the payroll system.
- Process and maintain payroll records for new hires, employee changes, and terminations.
- Handle employee termination processes and related payroll documentation, including Form 161.
- Manage and update pension and benefit-related payroll data and perform ongoing reconciliations.
- Review and process attendance, vacation, sick leave, and other absence data.
- Perform payroll validations, reconciliations, and control checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc payroll reports as required.
- Support the preparation of regulatory and annual forms, including Forms 101 and 106.
- Assist employees with payroll-related questions and provide professional, timely, and service-oriented support.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll and pension providers.
- Identify discrepancies and payroll issues, investigate their root causes, and follow through until resolution.
- Support ongoing payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Ensure payroll activities are performed in accordance with company policies and applicable Israeli payroll regulations.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Israeli payroll.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with the Hilan payroll system – required, experience with Hilan Next - an advantage, experience working with the Hi Bob attendance - an advantage.
- A strong team player with a collaborative mindset, openness to feedback and guidance, and the flexibility to adapt to team priorities and decisions.
- Strong knowledge of Israeli payroll processes, labor regulations, taxation, social security, and pension requirements.
- High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong sense of accountability, and responsibility.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative and supportive team player.
- Strong service orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
