About the Role
As Senior PM for Cloud Platform Infrastructure, Core Platform & Trust at Dremio, you will own the strategy and roadmap for the foundational systems that power Dremio Cloud — including the control plane, networking and regional infrastructure, storage operations, enterprise security and governance, identity and access management, observability and reliability, and the SQL engine and acceleration layer.
Your vision is to make Dremio Cloud a platform that enterprises trust completely — one that is always available, continuously optimised, and effortless to operate at any scale, in any region. Customers should never have to think about performance, compliance, or infrastructure — it should just work, and work well.
You will raise the bar on what enterprise-grade means: from how customers access and govern their data, to how the platform self-optimises under the hood, to how confidently organisations can expand into new regions and deployment models. The best version of this platform is invisible to customers in the best possible way — secure by default, fast without configuration, and compliant without friction.
This role requires strong technical depth, independent judgment, and the ability to engage credibly in deep technical discussions across engineering, cloud operations, security, and finance — driving alignment and outcomes without needing to own the architecture itself.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the product strategy and roadmap across cloud platform infrastructure, core platform trust, SQL engine performance, and observability — balancing long-term platform integrity with pragmatic delivery.
- Define and drive the vision for regional infrastructure and expansion — making Dremio Cloud available, performant, and cost-efficient wherever customers need it, through repeatable and policy-driven deployment models.
- Own the roadmap for identity, access management, and governance — ensuring enterprise customers can enforce access controls, meet compliance requirements, and gain audit visibility without specialist overhead.
- Drive the strategy for query performance, Reflections, and Iceberg support — ensuring execution is continuously optimised and the platform stays current with the data ecosystem by default.
- Lead observability and reliability strategy — defining the metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, and alerting that surface meaningful health signals to internal teams and customers.
- Drive automation and operational capabilities that allow the platform to scale sustainably — including provisioning, upgrades, capacity planning, self-healing behaviour, and cost optimisation.
- Define the operational model for private and sovereign cloud deployments — ensuring consistency, supportability, and scalability across deployment types.
- Use telemetry, reliability data, and customer signals to identify gaps, validate improvements, and continuously raise the bar on platform quality.
- Collaborate closely with UX Design, Engineering, Cloud Ops, Security, Finance, and RevOps to ensure platform capabilities ship operable, secure, and commercially aligned.
- Own documentation of all product requirements, deliverables, and user enablement content.
- Drive clear communication across engineering and support teams to ensure product-related issues transition smoothly through defined channels.
What We're Looking For
- 5–8+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, control planes, networking models, and storage systems.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams on highly technical platform initiatives.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes-based systems and modern cloud infrastructure patterns.
- Deep understanding of non-functional requirements including scalability, resilience, performance, and compliance.
- Ability to independently drive technical conversations and influence senior engineering stakeholders.
- Experience using telemetry, observability data, and reliability metrics to inform product decisions.
- Understanding of enterprise identity, access management, and governance models.
Soft Skills & Culture Fit
- Self-motivated and proactive, comfortable operating in ambiguity.
- Technically confident with strong structured thinking and decision-making ability.
- Clear and concise communicator capable of bridging technical and business audiences.
- Thrives in a hyper-growth environment where priorities evolve and ownership is essential.
- Strong ownership mindset with high accountability and a bias toward action.
Bonus Points
- Experience building or scaling a SaaS control plane.
- Background in distributed systems, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps.
- Experience with global or multi-region cloud deployments.
- Familiarity with enterprise security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with query engine optimisation, table formats (Apache Iceberg), or data acceleration patterns.
- Exposure to sovereign cloud or private cloud deployment models.
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude Code) for prototyping, rapid iteration, and accelerated product delivery.
