We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality efforts across our Node.js-based application stack. This role will focus on building robust automation frameworks, implementing scalable CI/CD pipelines, and driving both functional and non-functional testing (performance, scalability, security, reliability).

What You’ll Do

    • Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks for Node.js applications (API,

    • UI, and integration tests)

    • Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest,

    • or Mocha

    • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure test coverage, code

    • quality, and shift-left testing

    • Own and drive non-functional testing (NFR) including:

      • Performance Testing using tools like k6, Artillery, or JMeter

      • Scalability and Load Testing to assess system behavior under heavy traffic

      • Security Testing (OWASP, dependency scans, API security)

      • Reliability and Fault Tolerance assessments

      • Analyze and report test results, triage defects, and support root cause analysis

      • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Harness CI

      • Contribute to test data management, mocking strategies, and environment setup

      • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices across the quality organization

What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

    • 5+ years of experience in QA automation with at least 2+ years on Node.js-based

    • applications

    • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and test frameworks like Mocha, Jest, Cypress,Playwright

    • Experience with REST API testing and backend validation

    • Hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools

    • Familiarity with security testing tools and practices

    • Proficiency in version control and CI/CD tools (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness CI

    • etc.)

    • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice To Haves/Other

    • Experience with contract testing (e.g., Pact)

    • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

    • Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) for NFR insights

    • Background in SaaS or cloud-native architectures
