We are growing our team and seeking out world-class talent that deeply believes in our mission to positively impact global health, has a relentless bias toward action, and a growth mindset. Function fosters a collaborative and dynamic environment where every day we build the future.
Role:
The Senior Accounting Manager will own the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of Function Health’s core accounting operations, ensuring our financial foundation remains strong as we grow. You will lead critical components of the monthly close while building the structure, documentation, and controls that enable a high-performing accounting function.
As we continue to scale, expand internationally, and increase operational complexity, you will help design and hire the next phase of the accounting team, establish clear workflows and controls, and elevate the function from execution to excellence. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a leader who can operate in the details while building the structure needed to support a fast-growing, multi-product health technology company.
This role is best suited for those energized by fast-paced environments, excited to build in a high-growth setting, and deeply motivated by our mission at Function. If you're looking for meaningful challenges, dynamic work, and the opportunity to make a real impact—we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses, maintaining a consistently clean general ledger and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- Establish and oversee scalable intercompany processes across domestic and foreign entities, including reconciliations, eliminations, FX accounting, and consolidation adjustments.
- Design and strengthen internal controls and documentation to create audit-ready processes and financials.
- Identify structural gaps and implement automation and systems improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Transition key accounting workflows from outsourced providers to in-house ownership, raising the bar for quality and accountability.

- Help shape the future accounting organization, contributing to hiring strategy, role design, and development of a high-performing team.

Qualifications/Skills:
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth, multi-product, or multi-entity environment.
- Big 4 public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and build processes from the ground up.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams, translating business intent into accounting implications and clearly explaining accounting requirements in non-technical terms.
- Excellent judgment, communication skills, and confidence proposing accounting positions and operational solutions.
- Experience scaling accounting in a high-growth, multi-product environment and leveraging data, automation, or AI-enabled tools to drive accuracy and efficiency.
- Exposure to subscription-based businesses or technology-enabled services.
- Experience implementing or improving accounting automation tools and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&A transactions, including purchase accounting, due diligence, and post-close integration of acquired entities.
