We’re looking for an IT Director to expand the capabilities of Garner’s IT services and improve the end user experience of our employees as a result. This role will report to the VP of Platform Engineering and Security.

Garner is headquartered in NYC and this position is required to work from our Manhattan office three days a week at minimum.

Main responsibilities

  • Architect, operate, improve, budget for, and secure the IT services Garner provides
  • Boost end user velocity and productivity, especially in their onboarding phase
  • Build solutions to a high engineering standard and hold others to the same high standard
  • Research and advocate for improved techniques, process, and designs within the team
  • Collaborate with teammates to deliver strategic IT initiatives
  • Support Garner’s employees throughout their employment at Garner
  • Secure Garner’s IT services according to regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Partner with other stakeholders to ensure a highly-available and performant product for users

MacOS, Jamf, Okta, Jira Service Desk

Ideal qualifications

  • 5+ years L2 experience supporting the end users of an enterprise
  • 4+ years experience as the lead L2 for a support function
  • 3+ years managing an IT program (roadmap, L1/L2 mgmt, etc)
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and stakeholder management
  • Expertise with Jamf and managing mac endpoints
  • Expertise with JIRA service desk

The target salary range for this position is: $160,000 - 180,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans. This role is also bonus eligible.
