Content Manager / Product Marketing Manager
Getboon
Who we are
Boon is a SaaS technology company that focuses on helping the backbone of our economy–supply chain and logistics providers–thrive financially. Founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2023 by ex-Samsara and ex-DoorDash Product and Engineering leaders, we are funded by top Silicon Valley VCs.
At Boon, you’ll help define the future of AI workflows and efficiency for fleets and be on a team that’s constantly innovating and disrupting a critically important industry. As part of an early-stage start-up, you’ll have the autonomy to make an impact as we build and iterate rapidly. We partner with our customers to deliver outcomes like helping them with critical revenue and operational workflows so they are able to help and serve everyday end customers by delivering food, supplies, equipment, and people speedily and efficiently.
About this role
We are looking for an experienced product marketing manager to fuel our next stage of growth. You will execute and drive our product marketing strategy, launch multiple new products a year, own and refresh core marketing artifacts, and develop and deliver high-priority sales enablement and marketing content.
We will ask you to stay on top of our customer needs, sales process, product capabilities, and competitor environment. You will join sales calls and customer visits and be responsible yourself for delivering on some of the highest visibility or most important marketing content.
You are a great fit if:
- You want to make a big difference in the industries that keep our world going:
- Your work will have a real impact on the businesses that keep our economy running. Our customers transport consumer goods across the country, help sick people get to the hospital, provide essential plumbing services, and anything else that involves fleets.
- You are naturally curious: Success in this industry comes from understanding the complex pain points of customers in various verticals, whether that’s dispatch optimization for an over-the-road trucking fleet or accounts receivable automation for a family-owned tow truck company.
- You embrace ambiguity: As part of a small team, you’ll have to be comfortable uncovering requirements and making quick decisions – the “right” answer won’t always be obvious!
- You want to be on a winning team: At Boon, we win together, celebrate together, and help each other out. You'll be part of a great team that pushes you to do your best.
In this role, you will:
- You will be the first product marketing manager and be responsible for strategically positioning our core product suite and platform across all customer and sales facing assets
- Partner closely with product, engineering, sales teams and leaders to develop and deliver on our product marketing vision and pipeline objectives
- Gather customer insights and feedback, understand their voice, and integrate it into our messaging and strategy
- Drive the successful launch of new products by leading go-to-market motions that differentiate our products and brand
- Collaborate with sales teams to drive enablement tools, training, and materials that empower them to communicate the value of our products to our customers
- Share Boon’s vision and impact by speaking at internal and external events
- Champion, role model, and embed Boon’s cultural values and mission as we embark on a hyper growth journey
- Strong commercial orientation - excited about being in front of customers, providing critical support and tools to close individual deals, and partnering with marketing to design an effective pipeline generation strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging
- Partner with growth. You can run campaigns and define GTM plans
- Sales tools: You develop sales tools and communicate the product's value and vision to the sales team
- Competitor research: You conduct competitor research to see how they sell their products
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 4+ years of experience in Product Marketing (B2B SaaS experience preferred)
- Strong commercial orientation - excited about being in front of customers, providing critical support and tools to close individual deals, and partnering with marketing to design an effective pipeline generation strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging
- Strong internal communication and relationship building skills. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with executive stakeholders, including C-suite, Product & Engineering VPs, Finance, and cross-functional leaders
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Data-driven, with the ability to structure complex analysis and derive insights
- Able to create clarity out of ambiguity for yourself and others
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
An ideal candidate also has:
- You will collaborate closely with partner functions to drive our product marketing strategy, launch multiple new products a year, own and refresh core marketing artifacts, and develop and deliver high-priority sales enablement and marketing content
- We will expect you to be a core member who understands our customer needs, sales process, product capabilities, and competitor environment
