About the Role: We’re looking for a senior, hands-on Demand Generation & Field Marketing leader to be the founding owner of demand gen at imper.ai. This is a true startup role with full ownership: no demand gen team, no handoffs. You will build, run, and scale all pipeline-driving programs, with field marketing and events as a core strength.
This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in B2B SaaS field marketing, ideally in cybersecurity, who wants to own revenue impact end-to-end and work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and executive leadership. This role reports to the CMO.
What You’ll Do:
- Own demand generation end-to-end
- Be the single owner of demand generation strategy, execution, and results
- Build demand gen from scratch: programs, tools, vendors, processes, and reporting
- Set pipeline targets and be accountable for revenue impact across all demand channels
- Lead field marketing and events
- Own field marketing as a primary growth lever
- Plan and execute national and regional events, including industry conferences, roadshows, executive dinners, and C-level roundtables
- Run webinars and virtual events as part of a broader field and demand strategy
- Manage events end-to-end: concept, budget, vendors, logistics, promotion, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up
- Design event programs aligned with target accounts, sales priorities, and executive-level selling motions
- Run digital and integrated demand programs
- Own all digital demand channels, including the website from a demand and conversion perspective
- Manage and optimize SEO and GEO as part of website and inbound demand strategy
- Run paid campaigns (LinkedIn and other relevant platforms), email, nurture, and integrated field + digital programs
- Use AI tools to accelerate campaign creation, personalization, optimization, and reporting
- Work directly with agencies and vendors to extend execution capacity
- Test, optimize, and scale programs based on pipeline performance
- Partner across sales, product, and GTM
- Partner closely with Sales and BDR leadership to align campaigns, follow-up, and pipeline creation
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Product leadership to turn positioning, launches, and narratives into effective demand programs
- Work directly with the CMO and executive team on go-to-market priorities
- Bring insights from the field, campaigns, and customer interactions back into product and GTM decision-making
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience in startup or high-growth environments
- Strong, hands-on field marketing and event experience is a must, including national and regional events
- Proven track record of driving pipeline through events, webinars, and integrated demand programs
- Experience owning demand gen holistically, including digital campaigns, websites, SEO, and inbound motion
- Strong Salesforce (SFDC) proficiency required, with experience using other SaaS marketing and sales tools
- Comfortable leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, scale, and performance
- Comfortable working directly with Sales leaders and executives
- Cybersecurity experience is a strong plus
- Highly execution-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable being the sole owner of demand gen
- Data-driven, with a clear focus on pipeline, revenue, and ROI
Location: Boston or New York, strongly preferred. Otherwise, remote within the U.S.
