About your role

Juniper Square is looking for an experienced Manager, HR to join our global People Team. Reporting to the Lead People Business Partner based in the US, this role will be responsible for supporting our growing India employee population. You will also be responsible for developing and managing regional performance management practices, building strong relationships with client groups and key stakeholders, and contributing to people operations efforts as we continue to scale. You will collaborate across the globe with a focus on localization and regional best practices. We're looking for a strategic HR Business Partner who thrives in ambiguity, loves solving complex people challenges, and is excited to roll up their sleeves and support operational excellence as part of a lean, global People Team.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for India team members on complex HR-related issues.

  • Drive the evolution and localization of performance management systems, ensuring effective identification, development, and incentivization of talent, and fostering a feedback-rich culture.

  • Develop and implement scalable processes for addressing critical and ongoing performance challenges within the region.

  • Collaborate with Recruiting leadership to define career pathways and contribute to the development of internal mobility programs for all India-based departments.

  • Partner with Compensation Analyst to inform the development of adaptable compensation strategies that address the specific needs of Juniper Square's diverse teams and roles.

  • Flex into People Operations initiatives as needed - including benefits management, systems, policy rollouts, documentation, compliance, and more.

  • Lead change management efforts and drive the adoption of people programs across the India employee base.

  • Proactively identify management and employee training needs and contribute to the design and delivery of programs that cultivate exceptional people leadership.

  • Analyze insights from employee engagement surveys, exit interviews, and leadership feedback to formulate and execute data-driven action plans.

  • Develop and disseminate clear company communications and training materials regarding new and existing HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive HR business partner and generalist experience, including performance management, employee relations, and HR program implementation.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and managing employee relations issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and execute HR initiatives to meet organizational goals and timelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt HR practices to local norms while aligning with global values and standards

  • Demonstrated ability to use data to diagnose issues and measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives

  • Passionate about fostering a positive employee experience and connecting HR practices with business needs.

  • A comprehensive knowledge of Indian labor laws and hiring practices, coupled with a demonstrated commitment to ensuring organizational compliance, is required.

  • Proven track record of success in scaling teams, ideally at a startup or financial institution

  • You think like an owner – you don’t sacrifice the long-term for the short-term, you take initiative, and you strive to find new ways to contribute, manage productivity, and hold each other accountable

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and solve them effectively

  • Ability to organize resources, data, tasks, and people effectively and displays effective prioritization and use of resources based on new information

  • Proficient with HRIS and performance tools and ability to learn new tools – experience with ADP, Lattice would be a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws and hiring regulations in India.

  • Bachelor's degree required or years of relevant experience

  • Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
