The role:

As a senior devops/infrastructure engineer you will have responsibility for some of the most important parts of the technology at leya. You will focus your time on supporting our developer teams by building a great platform they can use to ship their services and products. You will think about our core infra, deployment and rollout strategies, observability and alerting etc.

You will mentor junior colleagues and help define the strategy for the devops team with the CTO and Head of Engineering. Within a short period of time, you may also take on an explicit leadership role within the team.

What you will be doing:

• Manage our cloud resources by developing IaC modules (Terraform or Pulumi)

• Develop an IaC infra strategy to best serve our expanding developer teams and empower them to own operations and infrastructure

• Build reusable abstractions and modules that dev teams can use

• Work on multiple clouds, primarily Azure, but also AWS and GCP

• Develop CI/CD workflows with Github Actions

• Keep on eye on our prod infrastructure to provide extremely high uptime

• Ensure our infrastructure is both secure, reliable, and highly scalable

• Work with the latest genAI models at very high levels of throughput

• Work with some of the latest technologies and some of the smartest engineers in the industry

Who you are:

• A passionate engineer with several years of experience in managing infrastructure for multiple teams

• You’re autonomous and take pride in the setups you build

• You’re a problem solver who’s not afraid to come up with creative and pragmatic solutions

• You enjoy building tools for developers to use

Preferred qualifications:

• Building multi-team setups in Terraform or Pulumi

• Managing and scaling RDBMS, message-based systems

• Deployment/rollout strategies like blue/green, canary etc

• Observability and alerting tools like open telemetry, prometheus, grafana, azure monitor, or aws cloudwatch

• Kubernetes

Additional experience that’s a plus:

• Experience leading a platform devops team

• Experience working with highly confidential data - e.g. from medical, financial, public or similar industries
