We usually respond within a week

About us:

Leya is working to empower lawyers and automate legal work. Our approach is to enable the lawyer of the future: a human-AI lawyer who's an order of magnitude more effective than a team of conventional legal professionals. The human-AI lawyer will iterate at the speed of their judgment, even in the most complex legal scenarios, and will out-smart and out-deliver the best pure AI system.

You are joining an early-stage scale-up with exceptional product-market fit that thousands of lawyers use daily at global institutions such as Bird&Bird, Mannheimer Swartling, and Heineken. Backed by $37M in funding from top investors like Benchmark, Redpoint, and Y Combinator, Leya is a group of exceptional engineers, lawyers, and doers. Here, you will have infinite room to grow and rethink how truly worthwhile work gets done.

The role:

As an Legal Engineering intern in the Engagement team, you will work hand on with the Leya platform alongside highly motivated individuals from BCG, McKinsey, Baker McKenzie, and White&Case to change the way lawyers complete their work.

You will help solve and optimize client workflows, combining your legal experience with technological prowess and curiosity and be at the centre of the largest revolution in the legal industry to date as well as learn from the inside what it takes to to build a successful scaleup.

What you will be doing:
  • Apply legal engineering principles to optimize client workflows, bridging the gap between legal expertise and technology to deliver innovative, practical solutions.

  • Support client onboarding by customizing and configuring Leya’s platform to address their specific requirements.

  • Develop clear and engaging user guides, FAQs, and training materials to enhance client understanding and adoption.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve client challenges, ensuring a seamless user experience.

  • Be challenged and grow very quickly

Who you are:
  • Innovative: You thrive in a dynamic start-up environment where problems don’t always have obvious or easy solutions. You’re a problem solver who’s not afraid to come up with creative solutions.

  • Autonomous: Although constantly working in a team, we believe in self-leadership and ownership! You value feedback, take initiative without needing direction, and focus on outcomes. You are not afraid to try new things and learn from your mistakes rather than play it safe.

  • Entrepreneurial: Leya is an ambitious start-up. Things move fast, tasks and challenges may be demanding, and responsibilities may change over time. But you’ll get to work with a team of brilliant and dedicated people who are all working to solve difficult problems and really change how legal work is done.

Practical Information:
  • Compensation: This is a paid internship.

  • Length: 3 months

  • Location: Office in central Stockholm.

  • Work Mode: Primarily on-site.

  • Language: English is used for internal communication.

Preferred requirements:
  • Pursuing a university degree in Law and in your 3-5 year

  • 1-2 years work experience
