We are looking for a linguist with native speaker fluency in Japanese to take the role of Language Lead for one of our key accounts.

Lilt is a San Francisco and Berlin-based LSP with a translator-focused business model. We're building a community of the world's best translators around fast and fair payment, consistent work, and innovative neural MT technology.

This is a remote, freelance position.

The Language Lead responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and distributing customer feedback

• Liaising with translation team on customer feedback and other linguistic matters

  • Meeting with linguist team as deemed necessary (ad hoc basis)

  • Providing Support to translators:

    • Query answering

    • Internal Review support

    • Lead performance improvement plan

    • Testing new candidates

• Gather queries from translators to be sent to customer, and distributing answers

• Suggesting assets/guidelines update according to customer feedback

• Updating, creating and sharing TSF, supplemental reference and training materials

• Creating new instructions/best practices according to customer feedback

• Acting as the main PoC between LILT and the translation team

Requirements:

• Linguists with native speaker fluency only

• Minimum 2 years translation experience

• Linguistic degree (preferred)

• Previous experience in similar roles
