Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
The Project Manager, Production ensures successful production execution across a portfolio of accounts. The Project Manager, Production is a fundamental component of the production life cycle, ensuring projects are delivered on-time, on budget and to accepted quality standards. The Project Manager, Production will have customer facing production duties as well as internal responsibility to delegate project coordination and administrative work to teams of Production Coordinators.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Orchestrate complex workflows including translation, QA, DTP, multimedia, and linguistic sign-off for LILT’s largest enterprise customers.
Engage directly with customers to clarify project requirements, ensure all assets are received, and provide accurate status updates and confirm delivery in line with pre-defined SLAs
Coordinate seamlessly with internal engineering and linguistic teams to resolve bottlenecks fast.
Own internal and external communication within pre-defined SLAs
Identify risks, potential issues, plan to and mitigate them, and escalate to the Program Leader as appropriate
Define and delegate admin work to PCs
Control budgets effectively
Effectively balance and manage priorities across a variety of task types and customers
Establishes deadlines /ensures deadlines are feasible and completes tasks by said deadlines
Mitigates risk and escalates issues or problems in an effective manner, along with proposed solutions
Asks pertinent questions to ensure full comprehension of the task in hand
Strictly follows Production SOPs and best practices.
Ensure projects are managed and delivered in line with Production KPIs (Margin, Quality, On Time Delivery)
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority deadlines.
Implement new features, efficiencies and initiatives in line with Department and Company goals.
DUTIES:
Manage the end to end project management workflow (including Translation, QA, DTP, Linguistic Sign Off, E-Learning, Multimedia)
Ensure all projects are delivered on time as per customer SLA
Manage quality at the project level, ensuring linguists adhere to Customer linguistic assets and QA rules
Responds quickly and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders
Ensure all system admin, including data entry, is accurate
Process invoicing and payments
Perform file analysis
Monitor linguistic assets (TM, Style Guides, reference material)
Demonstrates a deep understanding of all production workflows and processes related to Enterprise accounts
Utilize systems and tools released by Production
Train supporting resources on key production processes and methodology
Develop and maintain process documentation related to their Customer
Consistently follow correct protocols for tasks and accounts.
Escalate quality complaints and feedback received from Customer stakeholders
Raise Customer Support tickets as required
Perform Linguist Sourcing in our existing vendor database and enters sourcing requests when new vendors are needed
Completes ongoing risk assessment and mitigation for all production areas.
Manage linguist communication for all projects
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Languages, Translation, Linguistics
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2-5+ years of professional experience in managing large-scale complex production for Technology customers
Native or professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English. You must be able to negotiate and communicate technical nuances in both languages.
Proven customer-facing experience
Excellent internal communication skills, including fast responsiveness and quick resolution
Solid organizational skills including meticulous attention to detail and multitasking skills
Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
