About you:
As the Controller at Logixboard, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and strategic direction of our organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, accounting operations and human resources.

Responsibilities include:

  • 1. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to provide key stakeholders with actionable insights into company performance.
  • Present financial performance reports to executive leadership and board of directors, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • 2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget variances and analyze deviations from planned targets, providing recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the development of financial models to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • 3. Accounting & Operations:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Work closely with outside legal counsel to review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage the company's cap table and equity administration, including stock option grants, vesting schedules, and equity incentive plans.
  • Assist in due diligence processes for fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
  • 4. Treasury and Cash Management:
  • Manage cash flow projections and optimize working capital to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor banking relationships and coordinate financing activities, including debt management and equity fundraising efforts.
  • 5. Tax Compliance:
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including Washington Business & Occupation tax, sales & use tax, and other applicable filings.
  • 6. Human Resources:
  • Manage HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development discussions.
  • 7. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a small team of accounting and HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership and continuous learning.
  • Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback to support professional development and career growth.

We're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably within the SaaS industry or technology sector.
  • Strong proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • The salary range for this role is $164,400 - $198,000, plus equity. Where your pay would fall within that range will be based on 1) relevant experience, knowledge, and skills, as demonstrated through the interview process, 2) by considering parity with current LXB team members, and 3) current market data
