Who We Are:

Materialize is an operational data warehouse. It’s the same SQL, same workflows, same architecture as an analytical data warehouse, but with a continuous computation model instead of batch. Your data is always up to date, always consistent, and always immediately accessible, so you can build real-time automation, engaging customer experiences, and new operational data products that drive value for your business.

Our streaming-first data warehouse is purpose-built for the unique demands of operational work. The familiar cloud architecture means low admin overhead, no new skills required. And the incremental engine means the same complex batch transformation logic from analytical warehouses can be ported over to run in real time with minimal engineering effort, and without increasing costs.

Kleiner Perkins, Redpoint Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

About the role:

Materialize is looking for a product marketing leader that can effectively demonstrate the power of our operational data warehouse to the world. You’ll be working closely with the leadership team to create messaging, positioning, and competitive materials that guide all of our internal and external content. Our demand and growth teams will lean on you to create the presentations, demos, videos, and written content that will most effectively engage our audience. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll serve as a connection to our customers, constantly engaging them at events and customer councils to ensure we stay focused on what matters the most to our community.

About You:

  • Strong sense of service towards customers, teammates, and marketing colleagues
  • Passion for presentation, demonstration, and content creation
  • Ability to “own it” and contribute broadly in a small but dedicated team
  • Comfortable taking differing opinions and synthesizing them into a cohesive story
  • Creativity and ability to think of new ways we can engage our audience

  • 8+ years of related experience, ideally in product marketing, product management, sales engineering or similarly technical roles
  • Comfortable with SQL, databases, streaming, and other associated technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical concepts and accurately explain them
  • Day to day tasks you have owned will include: messaging and positioning, competitive differentiation, demo creation, written content creation, speaking, analyst relations, product launch and release

We understand it takes a diverse team of highly intelligent, passionate, curious, and creative people to develop the exceptional product we are building. Our dynamic team has incredible perspectives to share, just as we know you do, and we take great pride in being an equal opportunity employer.
