Role Overview
As a Solutions Engineer at Maxima, you will be a trusted technical advisor to our customers and a key partner to our Account Executives. You will help enterprises understand how Maxima’s AI platform automates and transforms the close process across their ERP, HRIS, and financial systems.
You will lead deep technical discovery, design enterprise-grade solutions, and deliver high-impact demos that connect Maxima’s AI capabilities to real business outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, finance, and customer storytelling. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities based on customer insights and ensure our solutions meet the needs of the most complex enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Leadership: Partner with Account Executives to manage technical discovery and deliver compelling product demonstrations for enterprise prospects.
Solution Design: Architect tailored solutions that align Maxima’s AI platform to complex accounting environments involving multiple entities, ERPs, and workflows.
Technical Discovery: Lead in-depth discussions with Controllers, Finance Systems, and IT teams to uncover requirements, data challenges, and integration needs.
Enterprise Integrations: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to scope and communicate integration approaches across systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, and Workday.
Proof of Concept Execution: Configure demo and sandbox environments that replicate customer use cases and highlight Maxima’s automation and accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between Sales, Product, and Implementation to ensure a seamless customer experience from demo to deployment.
Customer Advocacy: Gather and relay feedback from enterprise customers to influence product strategy and roadmap priorities.
Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of trends in AI, automation, and enterprise finance systems to position Maxima as the market innovator.
Qualifications
5 to 8 years of experience in a Solutions Engineering or Solutions Consulting role within enterprise SaaS.
Deep understanding of accounting operations or financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Workday.
Experience supporting enterprise customers with multi-entity, multi-currency, or SOX-compliant environments.
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, value-driven business conversations.
Strong presentation and communication skills with comfort engaging CFOs, Controllers, and technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and workflow automation tools.
Curiosity about AI and automation technologies and a desire to learn deeply about their application in finance.
