Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Why we are looking for you

We're building the most data-driven GTM organization in SMB technology space, and we need a senior leader to run the analytics and applied AI function that powers it.

At Owner, the Business Operations team doesn't just analyze the business. We build products and systems that drive it. Our GTM analytics team has already built ML-powered lead scoring that 2x'd our LTV:CAC ratio, automated account research that doubled rep output, and intelligent routing systems that optimize pipeline for hundreds of reps. And we're just getting started.

Owner is also at an exciting inflection point: we're expanding into new product verticals and AI-led offerings, which means building entirely new GTM motions from scratch. This role will be at the center of defining those strategies and building the systems to optimize them.

We're also using and adopting AI extensively throughout our analytics and solution-building pipeline. This role will be central to helping define and implement our applied AI strategy: building AI-powered GTM products, and establishing the structures for how the team uses AI to accelerate everything we do.

As Director of GTM Analytics & Applied AI, you'll own the strategy, team, and execution for everything that makes our GTM machine smarter. You'll work directly with our CRO, CMO, and senior leadership to identify the highest-impact opportunities, then lead a team of ~6 analysts, data scientists, and AI specialists to build the solutions.

This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

The impact you will have

  • Drive GTM efficiency: Own the analytics and systems that optimize Owner's LTV:CAC ratio, one of the company's most important metrics and a key driver of our fundraising and growth story

  • Build AI-powered GTM products: Lead the development of ML models, automated outbound systems, and AI-powered prospect intelligence that make our sales and marketing teams significantly more productive

  • Accelerate with AI: Define and implement how the team uses AI to accelerate our analytics and solution-building pipeline. Establish structures and workflows that multiply the team's output

  • Define GTM strategy for new product lines: Owner is expanding into new product verticals and AI-led offerings. You'll help build the GTM playbooks, analytics, and optimization systems for these new motions from scratch

  • Shape GTM strategy: Partner directly with the CRO, CMO, and senior leadership to identify the highest-impact opportunities and drive resource allocation decisions

  • Scale a high-performing team: Manage and grow a team of ~6 analysts, data scientists, and applied AI specialists, with a mandate to scale as the business grows

  • Own end-to-end execution: This isn't an insights role. You'll design, build, and ship the data products and automated systems that change outcomes for the GTM org

  • Tackle emerging priorities: Lead or contribute to ad hoc strategic projects as business needs arise; this role flexes with what matters most

Who you'll work with

  • Reporting Structure: This role reports to Jonathan Shenkman, VP of Business Operations

  • Team: You'll manage a team of ~6 analysts, data scientists, and applied AI specialists, with the opportunity to grow the team

  • Cross-functional Partners: You'll collaborate most closely with Sales, Growth Marketing, and RevOps, and partner with Product, Launch, and Enablement on strategic initiatives

  • Technical Collaboration: You'll work with Analytics Engineers on data modeling, data quality, and infrastructure (dbt, Snowflake)

  • Executive Visibility: This work directly drives company strategy, which means regular exposure to senior and executive leadership including the CRO and CMO

What we're looking for

  • Flexible on years of experience. What matters is demonstrated impact and trajectory

  • You've built and managed a high-performing analytics, data science, or strategy team

  • You've personally shipped data products, ML models, or AI-powered systems into production - not just delivered insights

  • Strong technical skills: SQL and Python proficiency expected; experience with ML/AI systems strongly preferred

  • You've worked in the messy middle between business strategy and technical execution. Consulting, startup analytics, or a hybrid path that's hard to label

  • Comfortable with ambiguity - you don't need a playbook to figure out what to work on next

  • Experience with marketplaces, AI software, and/or high-growth startups strongly preferred

  • Restaurant technology or SMB software industry experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $210,000 - $250,000 USD per year, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package.
