Head of Finance (UK, remote)

We are looking for our first internal Head of Finance to join our fast-growing cyber security startup. This is a remote role supporting our team, based anywhere in the UK. We just raised our series B fundraising and are growing quickly.
This role reports into our CEO and cofounder.
In this role you will own all aspects of company finance to:
- Keep the house in order - track key metrics and financials
- Manage financial planning and analysis (FP&A) – budgets, projections
- Run a tight ship regarding AP / AR: pay bills, send invoices, reimburse expenses
- Partner with outside accountants, work on audits
- Manage payroll in the UK, US and via an EOR
- Manage the cash situation and burn at all times, and build realistic projections
- Handle complex multi-country and state tax matters
- Partner with the CEO on strategy and investor relations (quarterly board reporting)
- Partner with CRO and RevOps to manage revenue, sales comp plans and payouts
- Help with options plans, 409(a), EMI valuations process etc
- Risk control: D&O insurance
- Put scalable systems in place
- Handle any other operational financial and accounting topics as they occur
Our ideal candidate:
- Has 6-10 years of hands-on finance experience
- Has recent, early stage (seed-series C) startup experience
- Has substantial working experience with both US and UK structures with an emphasis on US GAAP and complex state tax matters
- Comes from a strong FP&A background
- Has experience in accounting and / or managing controllers / external accountants
- Background in M&A a bonus
