About the Business Development Team at Scribe.

Our BDR organization is designed to cultivate the next generation of business leaders at Scribe. We take pride in fostering a culture of continuous learning, mentorship, and high performance. BDRs who excel are expected to transition into commercial roles across the organization within 12 months. We are seeking self-starters who are agile thinkers, quick to take action, and passionate about contributing to a hyper-growth SaaS business based out of San Francisco. Ideal candidates will have a strong track record of academic achievement and/or SDR experience at a SaaS company.

Seeking a Senior Business Development Representative to join our team. As a BDR, you will be the face of our product to our prospective customers - ensuring that prospects learn about the value of Scribe, delivering sales content and live product demos to customers and prospects, and fielding inbound objections. You will join a lean team - so you will be foundational in building out our scaled approach product-led sales. The right person will be energized by the opportunity to grow our customer base while also building programs, testing approaches and collecting insights as we scale.

Scribe is a truly horizontal product used by over 1,000,000 organizations around the world, so you will have the opportunity to work with a large volume and wide range of customers across industries and roles. Given your unique customer vantage point, you will work closely with Growth, Customer Success, Marketing, and Support team members daily to test new ways to reach users effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer sales inquiries in a timely and prescriptive manner
  • Close high velocity transactional deals via email with a customer-centric and efficient mindset.
  • Qualify opportunities and loop in additional stakeholders for more complex sales cycles.
  • Identify common business problems customers are trying to solve with Scribe and position solutions.
  • Deliver educational information to inbound prospects to highlight the value of Scribe and answer functional questions.
  • Respond to functional questions via email, leveraging existing assets/guides and contributing to our growing library of FAQs.
  • Work closely with Growth, CS, Marketing, and Support team members daily to surface relevant customer insights and feedback.

You could be a great fit if

  • 1-2 years of work experience, and is interested in building new skills and continuing to grow their career at a fast-paced start-up.
  • Have experience in customer-facing roles such as customer success, account management, sales and business development at a software company.
  • Enjoys looking at data and identifying trends across a customer - identifying levers on where to double down and where there is room for improvement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to handle a large volume of prospects and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize common business problems and suggest solutions.
  • Passion for technology and the ability to quickly learn new SaaS software applications.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile for customers.

$70k-$90k USD OTE salary + Equity + Benefits
