✨ TL;DR – Why This Role Matters

This role sits at the center of Scribe’s high-velocity growth engine. As Manager, SMB Sales, you’ll lead a team of Account Executives focused on closing a high volume of new business while expanding product-led inbound demand into revenue. Your leadership will directly impact pipeline conversion, sales velocity, and scalable process development as we continue to grow Scribe’s massive SMB customer base.

📌 About the Role

As Manager, SMB Sales at Scribe, you will lead and develop a high-performing, fast-paced team responsible for converting inbound demand and outbound opportunities into new SMB customers.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-velocity, metrics-driven environment, loves coaching in real-time, and knows how to build repeatable, efficient sales motions at scale.

You’ll manage a team of SMB Account Executives selling into small and mid-sized businesses ( <1,000 employees), where success depends on speed, sharp qualification, and consistent execution across a high-volume funnel.

Your focus will be on:

  • Driving pipeline conversion and deal velocity

  • Building repeatable playbooks for PLG-assisted sales

  • Coaching reps on discovery, demo efficiency, and closing discipline

  • Ensuring forecast accuracy across a high-activity environment

You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Growth, RevOps, Product, and Enablement to optimize lead flow, improve conversion rates, and continuously refine the SMB sales motion.

🌎 Location

Hybrid: Our HQ is in San Francisco, California. For this role, we expect you to live in or near San Francisco and work from the office 3 days per week.

🧩 What Makes You a Great Fit

You have:

  • 2-4 years of experience leading an SBM Sales team, including direct people management of at least 7 AE’s and hiring in a high-growth environment

  • A track record of managing reps closing $10K–$50K ARR deals with 30–60 day sales cycles

  • Strong experience operating in a high-volume, fast-paced sales environment (PLG or inbound-led preferred)

  • Expert in pipeline management, conversion metrics, and activity-based forecasting

  • A coaching style focused on efficiency, speed, and consistency across many deals

  • The ability to grow early career sellers into high performance promotion paths.

  • Comfort working cross-functionally to improve lead quality, routing, and funnel efficiency

You are:

  • Highly hands-on, regularly in the trenches with your team reviewing calls and deals

  • Energized by fast cycles, quick wins, and iterative improvement

  • Skilled at balancing volume + quality

  • A builder who enjoys creating scalable systems, not just closing individual deals
