What are we looking for?

You will join the Data Platform validation team at SentinelOne. As a member of this team, you will contribute to the enhancement of Data Platform product quality by developing new front-end tests using TypeScript and PlayWright. You will also develop new testing infrastructure tools and mocking capabilities, focusing on the shift-left principle. Ensuring the stability of tests as part of the release process will be one of your key responsibilities.

What will you do?

  • Design and Development: Collaborate with development teams to design and develop stable tests and test frameworks. Main focus will be on developing E2E front-end and API tests using Typescript.
  • Automation Framework: Drive improvements and enhancements of our automation framework and testing tools.
  • Debugging: Enable straightforward debugging to facilitate fast troubleshooting of test failures.

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience with TypeScript for development and frontend test automation using PlayWright, Selenium, or Cypress.
    • Hands-on experience in backend test automation and development in Python or Java (advantageous).
  • Continuous Integration: Experience with configuring continuous integration (as code) using any CI system, preferably Jenkins and GitHub Actions (advantageous).
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Git.
    • Build tools: NPM, PIP.
    • Containerization (Docker).
    • Web services architecture: REST, GraphQL(advantageous).
    • Software validation processes and terminology.
  • Cloud Environments: Hands-on experience with cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proactive and self-driven learning approach.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to take ownership with a highly goal-oriented approach.

This role is integral to improving product quality and involves working closely with various development teams to enhance testing processes and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a background in front-end and back-end testing automation and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
