What are we looking for?

The Singularity Data Lake team is building towards autonomous SIEM. Helping SOC analysts achieve cybersecurity outcomes with greater accuracy and speed, our engineering team solves non-trivial scale and data problems with a unique blending of cloud, distributed systems, and software optimization techniques and services. Join our team and help advance the state of the art in cybersecurity!

Our team is working on a product that manages structure of secured assets across multiple contexts and data sources within the customer's ecosystem. Our product is integral to the SOC experience as it provides ways of allocating and referencing securable entities.

What will you do?

  • Solve complicated engineering problems
    • Participate in challenging technical design sessions
    • Share expertise of fitting technology to the product
  • Build and Review Technical Specifications
    • Convert PR/FAQ documents to technical specifications
    • Work with UX and PM to create balanced solutions
    • Document trade-offs and critical implementation details
    • Review and provide feedback on other specifications
  • Software Development
    • Own the implementation of specified product features
    • Work on improving technical quality of product
    • Contribute to evolution of testing infrastructure and CI/CD
    • Design APIs for internal and external clients
  • Support/On-Call Rotation
    • Rotating duty to respond/troubleshoot to the outage incidents
  • Review Code
    • Participate in constructive discussions centered around team conventions and best practices

  • Java, Spring framework family (Boot, Web, Web-Flux, Cloud), Gradle, Jooq
  • Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
  • Docker, Helm, Kubernetes
  • Prometheus, Grafana
  • AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud platforms
  • Python and/or Go (part of our software codebase has been written in Python and Go)
  • Working with large-scale management systems
  • Optimizing systems for scalability and performance

  • You are looking for a challenge that doesn’t just require you to use technologies like Kafka and Elasticsearch, but requires you to rebuild them because they didn’t meet the project requirements.
  • You can identify relevant algorithms in the literature, and bring them into production when they fit.
  • During the past several years you have successfully designed and implemented elegant and simple distributed systems to solve complex problems.

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

  • Education/Experience
    • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
    • Designing/operating distributed systems at a reasonable scale
  • Strong Java Experience
  • Other Programming/Scripting Languages (e.g. Python/Go) - big advantage
  • OpenSearch DB or alternative noSQL databases
  • Docker, Helm, Kubernetes; AWS, GCP and/or Azure cloud platforms
  • CI/CD or automation tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Ansible
