About the role.

We’re seeking to hire a Director of Finance to develop, continually improve, and implement budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts. This role is responsible for providing ad-hoc business performance reporting as well as preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments. They operate as a trusted advisor and collaborate with the CEO, CFO, and other team members on financial strategy.

Job Description:

  • Head financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support well informed decisions for Solo.io
  • Design and refine financial and operating models to help predict future performance, perform scenario analyses, and guide the business on strategic decisions, in addition to preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Work closely with accounting and data partners to ensure accurate data and information gathering, and support the build-out of reporting and analysis needs
  • Head system and process improvement initiatives to support our growth and drive efficiencies that help us scale as an FP&A team
  • Own the execution of the financial BOD materials, metrics reporting, monthly business variance reviews, benchmarking and other analyses, partnering with necessary stakeholders
  • Support the transition to and implementation of systems and tools that improve our ability to execute FP&A objectives. Serve as a super-user of key FP&A and financial reporting applications
  • Fuse data sources from across the company and all functions and perform analysis to support more than just finance functions

Job Requirements:

  • You have 9+ years of a combination of experience and education; FP&A background, preferably in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or similar degrees are a plus, but not required. If no degree, at least five years working in-house at a company
  • Demonstrated success in building operating models

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Expert  in Excel including model architecting, formula creation, and designing output that is intuitive and easy to understand
  • Knowledge of SaaS metrics as well as the many ways to calculate them
  • Proficient in working with large data sets and BI reporting tools (we use Domo)
  • Ability to work with sales and financial systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Airbase, etc.)
