CI/CD Engineer - Linux Engineering Composes (Brno Office, Czech Republic)

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Engineering Composes team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us in Brno. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the way Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) distribution is built. You will gain a deep understanding of the build pipeline and related technologies. You will be making sure that our solution fulfills the highest possible enterprise performance, usability, and supportability criteria. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for RHEL deliverables in all active lifestreams, including the six month maintenance phase of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) minor releases and beyond (EUS, TUS, E4S, AMC, etc.).
What you will do
- Participation in architectural designs, technology choices as well as setting and meeting high bar for quality of a pipeline which ensures that Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) distribution artifacts are built
- Participation in team organization that will enable efficient fast-paced development
- Participation in developing features, fixing bugs, reviewing code for the RHEL composition pipeline
- Exercising customer centricity to deliver tools which other teams will want to use
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent related work experience
- Experience with distributed version control systems like Git
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to work with distributed teams.
- Ability to collaboratively troubleshoot and solve problems in a team setting
- Technical bckground in Python development, experience with relevant tools and technology (Gitlab/Github, Konflux, Jenkins)
