About the job:

The Red Hat LATAM Technology Sales team is looking for an OpenShift Platform Leader to join our Brazil team at São Paulo. This leadership position is responsible for the quality and execution of the local OpenShift Platform business as well as the field execution for Application Platform & Cloud Services. This role is also responsible for the development and advocacy of Red Hat’s go-to-market (GTM) strategies and tactics in Brazil for the OpenShift Platform business which is inclusive of Cloud-Native Infrastructure (Container management and Virtualization) and Application Platform (app platform, AI, and app services).

What you will do:

  • Hire, develop, retain, and lead OpenShift Specialists within the region (Specialist Solution Architects & Black Belts), to deliver OpenShift offerings through all sales motions & technical decision points (TDPs).

  • Lead the OpenShift sales strategy for the region, including articulation of the clear business value of Red Hat’s Cloud-Native Infrastructure and Application Platform to continue to elevate our impact on both our internal and external customers, driving growth through net new opportunities.

  • Accountable for the region OpenShift targets and planned growth.

  • Serve as the technical thought leader for OpenShift, acting as a trusted advisor to the Red Hat account teams within the region

  • Collaborate with other geo and regional OpenShift Platform Leader for global OpenShift sales execution and talent management, including ensuring technical sellers are meeting the required technical proficiencies for their role.

  • Collaborate with other RHEL and Ansible Platform leaders when joint GTMs may be required to simplify our offerings from the customer point of view.

  • Support and contribute to the hiring of OpenShift Specialists (Black Belts and Specialist Solution Architects) in the region

  • Assesses the performance of a team of Specialists based upon sales execution and team talent management (time/attentiveness to hiring, attrition, associate engagement, quarterly connection completion, etc.).

  • Gather regional feedback for Product team and Engineering reviews.

  • Execute global sales plays with the support of the Regional and Segment sales teams.

  • Partner with the Ecosystem team to implement and execute partner-focused GTM initiatives.

What will you bring:

  • 3+ years experience in a sales leadership role in a technology sales environment.

  • 5+ years experience as an Individual Contributor in technical solution sales & architecture in an enterprise software and services context

  • Strong technical and business background with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering on complex projects.

  • Experience managing sales and technical pre-sales associates.

  • Proven track record in managing direct and indirect teams, as well as strong cross functional collaboration skills, with a proven track record of success.

  • Experience with application development, deployment and operations, enterprise integration technologies and patterns, information technology security, API strategy and management, data management, DevOps & GitOps, serverless, service mesh, and other related Application Platform technologies and patterns.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

  • Ability to present to and have conversations at multiple levels with a customer from developers and architects to infrastructure and operations teams, to strategic executives and C-level management.

  • Experience with a digital transformation effort as part of sales, consulting or as a customer.

  • Strong understanding of market opportunities, the competitive landscape and deep technical expertise in OpenShift solutions and related technologies, trends, and concepts.

  • A balance of strategic, tactical and technical, as well as creative thinking skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, in computer information systems, computer science or related field, and any other in management and leadership

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, following Red Hat’s established travel and expense policies.

  • English Proficiency is required

Desired experience:

  • Experience with emerging technologies and uses cases, like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), machine learning operations (MLOps), data engineering, large language models (LLMs), artificial intelligence operations (AIOps), generative AI and augmented intelligence, edge architectures and deployment patterns.

  • Spanish Proficiency
