The Red Hat Services team is looking for a Director, APAC Training & Certification to provide strategic direction and carry P&L responsibility for Red Hat’s growing learning business. The preferred location is Singapore. In this role, you will plan, lead, and implement programs and initiatives to ensure we make progress towards our strategy while delivering financial and non-financial goals.. You will be expected to drive business through multiple channels while continuing to evolve our business model.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Complete P&L (bookings, revenue, margin) responsibility for the APAC Training Business.
- Accurately forecast the business and implement impactful measures to address gaps.
- Manage training sales and delivery personnel as required.
- Provide world-class delivery to students.
- Create and execute strategies that lead to market expansion and increase the attach rate of training to Red Hat product subscription and consulting bookings
- Work well in a highly matrixed organization
- Lead the deployment of new training offerings and/or systems in APAC
- Foster win/win relationships with key partners (internal and external) to grow business
- Plan and guide marketing initiatives across APAC in collaboration with the marketing teams.
- Develop and carry out strategies to broaden the impact of Red Hat Academy in higher education institutions
- Review and assist in structuring regional training proposals for strategic accounts
- Provide strong leadership in an open and transparent environment.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of customer-facing training leadership experience, preferably within a software or services company
- Demonstrated success having built and managed a training business.
- Proven track record of consistently growing revenue; adding net-new customers; increasing adoption of new technologies; and improving customer satisfaction with company products and services
- Demonstrated ability to identify and successfully carry out a go-to-market plan for services (ideally training), including both direct customers and a partner (channel) ecosystem
- Experience in business planning, development, and pipeline management
- Experience in full life cycle sales activities including account planning, opportunity creation, pipeline management, deal development, and closing deals
- Expertise in hiring, coaching and fine-tuning a world class team
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, and collaborative environment
- Fluent language skills (read, write and verbal) in English
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
