At Tend, we’re reimagining dentistry with a patient-first approach and an exceptional studio environment. As a Studio Shift Lead, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our studio, providing leadership and support to our team members, and creating a positive experience for our patients. This role is perfect for a proactive, organized, and collaborative individual ready to step into a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Assign and oversee daily work activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Coordinate staff schedules for meals, breaks, and meetings to maintain smooth operations.

  • Communicate shift schedules and any changes to team members effectively.

  • Address staffing needs or adjustments promptly, ensuring Studio Leadership is informed of absences or scheduling conflicts and arranging replacements as necessary.

Team Support & Development

  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for team members during shifts.

  • Provide “in-the-moment” coaching to support training, workflow, and collaboration.

  • Offer constructive feedback to Studio Leadership regarding attendance, skills, teamwork, and performance of team members.

  • Assist with onboarding and training new hires as well as up-skilling current team members.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment, managing and mitigating conflicts as they arise.

Communication & Reporting

  • Deliver clear, concise shift reports to the Studio Leadership.

  • Keep Studio Leadership informed of any operational issues or opportunities for improvement.

  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and team members.

Qualifications

  • Medical and or Dental experience.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and member satisfaction.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and studio needs.

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming studio environment.
