We’re building the portal for managing everything that comes in/out of your home, i.e. your AI-powered Psychic Home Manager.
About the Job
The Chief of Staff (CoS) role at The Rounds is an 18-24 month “tour of duty” working directly with the Co-Founder/CEO. The CoS is the “Product Manager” of the CEO’s operating system (OS) and strategic vision, directly responsible for ensuring the company is working effectively towards our shared mission. This role requires someone who is a powerhouse multitasker and incredibly adaptable, able to both advise the CEO on high-level strategic decisions and care about the lowest level of detail in materials for the Board of Directors. This role is critical to the company’s advancement, particularly its next round of financing: Series C. To help the company make the necessary progress and reach this milestone, the CoS will work with the CEO on the highest priorities and will be directly involved in the fundraising process. Post Series C, the CoS will transition to a leadership role in the business, facilitated by the CEO.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising Support:
- Lead Series C preparation and process, including investor pipeline and deal team project management
- Collaborate with the CEO on pitch deck and other fundraising materials- Work with CFO and Head of Strategic Finance to develop data room, including the financial model- Attend investor meetings, partnering in investor relations and communications with the CEO

CEO Operations:
- Manage CEO Operating System, including recurring meetings and workflows, and triaging team/ company needs to ensure CEO is prioritizing what matters most
- Serve as “air traffic controller” to the CEO, including email inbox and calendar management
- Liaise with Exec Team on business priorities, including setting the agenda for Exec Team meetings
CEO Force Multiplier:
- Serve as thought partner to the CEO on highest impact business decisions, from shaping our 2-year strategy to designing the most effective org structure
- Drive execution of CEO strategic priorities, with particular focus on our Member experience, growth, product, brand & design
- Engage with Co-Founder/CFO and Finance team on financial performance to inform CEO priorities and CoS activities
Business Operations:
- Extend CEO OS to support company and team success, including coaching team members as they tackle business problems and most effectively use their time with the CEO / Exec Team
- Partner with Head of People Operations on team culture initiatives, recruitment for priority hires, and talent development
- Partner with VP Business Operations on ensuring team is engaged in meeting business objectives, including planning processes and Weekly Business Reviews
Program Management:
- Work with VP Strategic Initiatives to manage execution of strategic initiatives and special projects
- Sponsor key sustainability initiatives like reusable packaging design
- Liaise with key stakeholders on CEO strategic priorities, such as Applied ML & Data Science to develop predictive algorithms
Team Alignment:
- Drive internal communications to align team on CEO and company priorities
- Drive external investor communications, including development of quarterly BOD meeting materials, monthly investor updates
- Build trusted relationships with team members at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor and representative of the team to the CEO / Exec Team

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years professional experience, preferably at Series C or later stage VC-backed consumer tech companies ideally in Biz Ops and/or Program/Product Management roles
  • MBA preferred, with startup leadership roles post MBA or Management Consulting/Investment Banking
  • NYC-based or open to relocation (this role is 100% IRL in Brooklyn HQ)
