We’re looking for a Frontend Tech Lead to join our R&D team and drive the evolution of Vega’s Threat Detection Platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who wants to shape complex frontend systems and scale product impact through technical leadership.

As Frontend Tech Lead, you’ll lead by example—owning architecture decisions, driving frontend best practices, and enabling the team to deliver intuitive, high-performance interfaces. You’ll work closely with product and design to translate complex security data into user-friendly, actionable insights. While you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, your primary focus is on technical direction and product excellence—not on people management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Mentor a team of frontend engineers, fostering technical excellence and growth.
• Design and develop sophisticated frontend components that bring security data to life.
• Drive architectural decisions and shape our frontend development practices.
• Work with modern frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, and more to build scalable, performant applications.
• Take ownership of defining the API schema and collaborating with backend partners.
• Ensure consistency and reusability across the platform using Tailwind and Shadcn.
• Promote best practices in testing with Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver impactful features.
• Contribute hands-on while also steering the tech stack towards long-term technical goals and keeping tech debt managed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 8+ years of experience in Frontend Engineering in a SaaS environment using React and TypeScript.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Tech Lead, driving both people and technical leadership.
• Proven track record of translating complex designs into high-quality, scalable features.
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, web fundamentals, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience with modern testing practices and tools (Vitest/Jest/React Testing Library/Cypress/Playwright).
• Hands-on experience with deployment processes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Passion for great UX and tackling the unique challenges of frontend development.
• Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to align cross-functional teams around shared goals.
• Creativity, curiosity, and a constant drive to learn and improve.
