Responsibilities

Workato is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our growing team. The Senior HR Business Partner is a part of the HR team providing leadership and guidance to client areas while influencing and delivering on HR objectives aligned to business priorities. This position plays a key role in helping to create a compelling employee value proposition and enhance employee engagement. The successful candidate will be solution-oriented and adaptable with the ability to provide leadership and guidance to the assigned client areas. The Senior HR Business Partner must be highly credible, approachable and experienced at providing advice and counsel to both managers and employees. You will be expected to be a trusted advisor to management and an employee advocate with experience and judgment to balance the needs of stakeholders.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Coach, advise, partner and provide HR leadership and guidance to client areas to both influence and deliver on HR objectives aligned to business priorities

  • Contribute to creating solutions for best practice initiatives in such areas as employment, employee communication, career development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee recognition

  • Understand business priorities within client groups and leverage that information in HR planning and prioritization efforts

  • Become a trusted advisor to business leaders on organization and people matters

  • Engage collaboratively within client groups as an employee advocate to ensure that issues and obstacles are identified and addressed

  • Partner with business unit managers in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization’s wage and salary program

  • Provide guidance and input on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and succession planning

  • Collaborates on and promotes change management and drives local initiatives

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

  • Drive consistency and timely resolution of employee relations issues, engaging with global colleagues and employee relations, ensure thorough and objective investigations are conducted, recommend appropriate corrective action

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, guidelines and processes.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure compliance

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of and responsibility for legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters

  • Participate on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities

  • Deliver key communications within the business and influence messages as they are developed

  • Partner with HR colleagues in the Centers of Excellence to develop and implement programs aligned to HR strategies

  • Other duties and initiatives as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • 10+ years’ progressive Human Resource experience in and working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines is required

  • Prior HR Generalist/Business Partner experience working in a fast-paced environment is required

  • Prior experience working for a SAAS organization a plus

  • Experience in coaching/consulting senior leaders within the organization

  • Experience in managing employee relations, change management, recruiting/talent management and/or team development experience across EMEA, APJ and US.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree and Human Resources certification highly desired

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 5%, including international travel
