Event Marketing Manager
At Gradient Labs, we’re building an AI agent to redefine customer experience and operational efficiency in the financial services sector.
Founded in 2023, we’ve quickly gone from an idea to a growing team with customers you know (and probably love). Our powerful AI agent is unique: it’s the only AI operations agent built specifically for financial services, handling even the trickiest, high-stakes customer queries safely and effectively. Crucially, it serves as one unified agent across the entirety of your customer operations, giving businesses the comprehensive visibility and control they need to trust all outcomes.
We’re a small but mighty team of builders from leading companies like Monzo, Wise, Mastercard, Revolut, , and Google. If you’re excited to tackle some of the hardest problems in AI and help shape the future of customer operations and experience, we’d love to hear from you.
🎯 How you’ll make an impact
As our first Event Marketing Manager, you'll own our global events programme end to end. Your job is to drive pipeline and establish Gradient Labs as the known name in AI for financial services across the US, UK, and Europe through conferences, bespoke dinners, workshops, and partner events.
You'll build community in our key cities and curate experiences that senior financial services executives will want to show up to, and not stop talking about afterward. You'll have freedom to choose how you get the job done and you'll be backed by a world-class team in design, marketing, and sales.
Event delivery and planning: Deliver our current event roadmap and build on it, sourcing new conferences, dinners, and workshops where our ICP will be. Manage budget, vendor relationships, and all on-site logistics
Audience building and outreach: Research and build targeted invite lists using Apollo, Clay, and HubSpot. Enrich contact data, segment by ICP, and run email invite campaigns to fill seats with the right people
Sales alignment: Work hand-in-hand with Sales to deeply understand our ICP, prioritise the right events, and ensure every one creates opportunities for meaningful conversations
Post-event follow-up and nurture: Make sure Sales walks away with the leads and context they need. Capture conversations, hand off warm contacts, and build post-event nurture flows in HubSpot so nothing goes cold
Partner events: Co-host events with our tech partners to expand our reach into new audiences and markets
Pipeline tracking: Track attendee acquisition, lead capture, and event ROI in HubSpot. We also use Luma and are open to other tools
Cross-functional coordination: Coordinate every aspect of an event across the team: briefing our designer, working with marketing to promote via social and email, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
Async operations: We run on Notion and Slack. You'll keep our event calendar, plans, and post-event learnings organised and visible so the team stays aligned without needing a meeting
💡 What you’ll bring
B2B event experience: Proven track record in B2B event marketing, ideally within fintech or high-growth SaaS environments
Creative instinct: You don't do generic. You know how to curate events that people remember and talk about, whether that's the venue, the format, or the details that make the experience feel intentional
Sales instinct: You understand what Sales needs from events and how to build a calendar around pipeline, not vanity metrics. You think about the follow-up before the event even starts
Organisational rigour: You're the kind of person who keeps 10 moving parts visible and on track across time zones, using tools like Notion, Slack, and HubSpot without being chased
Independence and ownership: You don't wait for instructions. You identify the opportunity, make the plan, and execute it. High agency is the baseline
Communication skills: Strong ability to brief designers, coach internal speakers, and negotiate with external partners
Comfort with ambiguity: You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are comfortable troubleshooting on the fly during live events
